Lynda.com
I had to register a new user name to come back and post, because I could not remember my PW, and there is no facility to get a reminder...

Anyway, just a heads up that Lynda.com has a 40% discount ending on the 19th March (today where I am). This all came together for me after discovering that Video2brain has now been incorporated with Lynda.com, and we can now get Steve's excellent tutorials along with the all the other stuff Lynda has to offer, for just the one subscription.

I'd barely decided to commit when an email arrived telling me about the discount, and I almost melted the keyboard signing up. It cost me $150 Oz for a full year, which I was pretty chuffed about.

So I thought you guys should at least get a heads up. I can't find a direct link to the discount because my browser keeps redirecting me, but a buddy from the Adobe Photoshop forum signed up a few hours ago, and he got the discount.

I'm bets part of the way through Steve's Photoshop perspective title, and have already learned some useful new tricks and tips. I've been wanting to watch this for a very long time, but couldn't justify a Video2brain subscription.

Happy days.

Re: Lynda.com
Sorry about the double post. It blocked the first attempt because I had not put an email address in my profile, so after doing so I sent it again, and found the forum had automatically allowed the first one.

Re: Lynda.com
Glad you're finding it useful, Trevor!

I'm working on a couple more courses for Lynda.com, which should be going live later this year.

For those who aren't sure, I can offer a 10-day free trial of Lynda.com - all you have to do is click here:

Re: Lynda.com
I've now finished both the Photoshop perspective and Night for Day courses, and while the latter is perhaps a little dated, I am surprised at how much I have learned. Some of it fairly simple stuff that I should probably have known, but it is so easy to carry on doing things the way you are used to.

I'm looking forward to Steve's Creating 3D Type course next, as I have never managed to get to grips with 3D, and always end up working in 2D adding depth with shading.

It would be great to see some more from you Steve. Especially if it deals more with CC.

Re: Lynda.com
Would love to, but the likes of Deke McLelland have most bases covered. I'm just squeezing in the spaces.
