PDF help
I need to save a file as a PDF - in PS7 - if I choose the save as PDF function does this mean that the layers will save as seperate pages like in a PDF and will someone without PS be able to open it? Is there anything else I should know?

Re: PDF help
Can't speak for PS7. Usually if you save as PDF you will offered all sorts of options which will determine how it saves.

This may sound silly but why not just try empirically? Save your document and then open it in your PDF reader. You can experiment with the save options and see what works best.

Good luck.

Re: PDF help
Yes, it will save a PDF that anyone can open. But note that PDF files saved from Photoshop tend to be HUGE.

Re: PDF help
Here's a possible workaround that may produce more compact results. Instead of saving your file Print it to PDF. This is for Mac OS X, I don't know if you can do it in Windows. If a Windows user reads this they may be able to chip in.

Select File > Print

In the Print dialogue select Print Settings.

In the settings window:

Set paper size same as your image size.

Select PDF in the bottom left. Then select Save to PDF from the drop down.

Exit the settings dialogue by clicking Save.

Back in the print dialogue click Print to 'print' the image to a PDF file.

This is a really handy way to make PDF's from any kind of file in any app.

Thank you all for that!
Just to complicate matters ts the entry form for a competition which is in PDF form but my computer wont open it so I have had to print it from the internet andscan the pages back in. Gah! There is an option to send hard copy so I will probably end up doing that

Re: PDF help
Won't your scanner scan directly to PDF once you have filled the printed form in? I think all scanners have that option. That would surely be the easiest route.
