Skeletons
I've tried several methods to convert the below color photo to an image that contains just the body outlines and the skeletal structure. Would like all the yellowish brown fill color removed (or made white). What would you suggest? Thank you!

Re: Skeletons
Good morning John. Long time no see on the site.

You could try using Image>Adjust>Threshold. You will need to create a few layers of the same image and apply varying amounts of 'Threshold' to each layer then mask out the 'all black' bits that you don't want. Then merge all those layers to form a complete image. It's easier to understand when you do it but you'll see what I mean.

Depending on the resolution of the working image you may get a slightly jagged edge. If you paste this final image into an alpha channel you can create a selection and lift the outline from the original image and tidy up from there.

I wouldn't say this was an elegant solution but it shows promise.

Re: Skeletons
You could try a little HIGH PASS filter, then use the levels then desaturate.

Result is not too bad.
