Challenge 473: Hogwarts castle
I went on a visit to the Harry Potter Studios a couple of weeks ago, and found it a truly extraordinary experience. Even if you aren't a fan of the books or the movies, I can highly recommend three hours spent examining the incredibly detailed sets, props and costumes used in the films. The highlight of the tour is the enormous model of Hogwarts castle, which was used to create the aerial shots. You can judge the scale by the size of the people standing behind it, on the right. Of course, when the castle appeared in the films, they replaced the sky, changed the lighting so it looked like daytime, and added other mist and sun effects as required. Can you bring this building to life? And is there an easy way to get rid of that dark background? I took the picture two weeks ago. It is “Gourdon”. (In the foreground of course Harry Potter.) The municipality president will be pleased about the change of his village…  |
