Challenge 305: Into space
On a recent visit to the Leicester Space Centre (yes, there really is such a place) I was struck by how everything in the place was neatly space-themed - including the lights. As lights go, this one certainly has more of a rocket quality than any other I've seen. What would it take to make it really look like a rocket? High res is here. |

Héhé, voilà la mienne, mais c'est de la triche! J'avais déjà commencé à travailler sur des images d'espace! ^^ _________________ Mais je me connais, je lâcherais pas l'affaire.... Re: Challenge 305: Into space
I am going to have a go at this one, but for me its going to be incredibly hard matching the end result with the picture I already have in my head! Can anyone tell me how long we get to complete the Fridays challenge, or can I assume its week to week? Merci |

Hi Jan, Go for it. You can do it. You'll learn from every piece you do. Homework has to be handed in by the following Friday. Steve usually has the marking done by around 0900 with the next set of homework issued almost immediately. Gordon _________________ Why is there only one word for ‘Thesaurus’? |

Totally lacking in imagination, my only excuse is I'm still trying to come to grips with my new Mac and CS5 _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

This is my first Friday Challenge. Sorry for the quality, but the original file was too large. Hope you like that. Here it's better: http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/7687/intospaces.jpg |

Re: Challenge 305: Into space
Its quite incredible the variations that everyone comes up with. Despite my initial worries I ended up learning how to use the pen tool! 2001 is my favoritist film ever! I used to live in Leicester, went the the space centre when it first opened, was bitterly disappointed (as a space-aholic) but it was a long time ago. |

Nice entries so far. I tried to make it metallic but it looks horrible so i settled on a low opacity "metallic curves" adjustment layer. Here's mine! _________________ I got it. Brain Blast!!! - Jimmy Neutron |
