Challenge 665: Kaplica na wodzie
The first of our proper Krakow challenges features a rather intriguing church - Kaplica na wodzie, the Chapel on the Water. After Czar Nicholas II ruled that no building should be constructed for prayer on land in this region, in 1901 the locals came up with this idea - the church is held up by pillars whose base is in the river that runs beneath it.

When I visited, though, the river was reduced to a stream that was so low as to be barely visible. Can you show me how it might look when the water is high?

High res is here.

Re: Challenge 665: Kaplica na wodzie
Starting to get very busy beginning to pack up and dispose of a lifetimes belongings (including, sadly, about two thousand books from my beloved library) as we move from a very large home to a much smaller one. Getting stuff ready for the auction houses and charities and all the while dealing with the builders doing the fitting out of our new home from a bare empty unfitted shell. So from now until Christmas you will be seeing only very simple basic offerings from me and probably none at all in some weeks. The penalties of getting older ........

Quite a few of us should - including the original photographer.

I had them already conveniently cut out ........

The original Jimmy Cliff version of Many Rivers to Cross (from the movie Harder They Come) is one of my all time favourite pieces of music!

Lovely job as ever Anna.

Wow! some really fantastic images this week!

Mine's a little pedantic in comparison.

I had to make a frame animation of the lavender and then render and import it into the timeline animation.
