Re: Challenge 667: Inspire me
First to move the spire was Ben Mills, cunningly integrating it into the Houses of Parliament - terrific colour matching, it blends really well into Victoria Tower. I wouldn't have thought it possible to make the building even more gothic!

I liked michael sinclair's interpretation, placing the spire onto a rather grand country house. Good work rebuilding the house, and getting a shot from a low angle to match that of the spire. Great lightning in the animated version - especially the flash that cunningly masks the jump as the clouds restart.

Clever work from DavidMac, building a series of Krakow-themed pencils from the spire - good colour matching! Wouldn't want to chew on one of those, though. Might stab myself.

Interestingly, the building tooquilos has chosen to work with is in fact the building the spire was taken from in the first place - but which had an altogether different construction on the second tower. Love the title sequence in the animated version, and the spire removal company gag is just great. Great falling debris as the spire is lifted off, and fantastic rotor blade action on the chopper. And you're right - that's just what Caplin Towers could do with!

I laughed out loud at Emy's modified crown - the Queen's jewellery collection could certainly do with updating!

Very neat work from Jota120, placing the spire on an inflatable cathedral. Perfect angle of view and lighting. Good work!

A beautiful image from Frank, with a dazzling lighthouse and a rather splendid dancer with a parasol. A great composition, Frank, with excellent lighting.

I enjoyed Oday's sandcastle, with the spire immaculately rendered in sand. A very fine job - and it looks like a fantastic building. Worth a trip to Kiev for, I think.

An innovative approach from srawland, turning the spire into a pendant lamp. Great room - but surely the man could do with a shadow beneath him? I like the serenity of the animated version - and a great gag when the mirror drops!

Here's my out-of-time, illegal, entry. I didn't want to do the Agent Orange thing, so I spent a lot of extra time on this instead.

Astonishing work, Michael! That's truly beautiful. Love the reflections. Not sure about the chess pieces' shadows, since the sun appears to be on the other side.
