Challenge 710: Light me up
A view of downtown New Orleans, with a Walgreen's pharmacy on the corner. Now I reckon it should be possible to light up that neon entirely using colour and luminosity selections, without having to select the text manually. What do you think? Up for the challenge? High res is here.  |

Not a lot of time this week. I'll have to try and find the time to 'channel' my energies to do this only with luminosity and chrominance. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Hi Gordon... it was the first thing on my list too. Well, I got the electrical short in the U fixed... just in time as it was getting dark...

A very quick one and I cheated monstrously by making a dark top layer and then rubbing out the signs to reveal the brighter layer beneath. No time for more this week.  _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Very little time but nonetheless so disappointed with this I nearly didn't post. The only saving grace is that being a technical challenge I stuck strictly to Steve's rules. Only chrominance and luminance selection combined with blend modes. Some mask brushing to clean up and some blur. That's it.
