Challenge 721: The cellar door
I passed this rather attractive house in France this summer. That bottom waist-high entrance really baffled me - what could it be for? A home for dwarves, or a classy cellar entrance? I think we should find out.

High res is here.

Steve must have been kneeling when he took the photograph.

Some interesting shadows in this one. Hopefully I'll have time mid-week to do something as I'm busy fund-raising for a seriously ill 6-year old at the moment.

Thank you Josephine...

I was happy with the way it turned out. In particular, the small head movements of the birds on the ground as if to watch the pigeons fly overhead.

The mice in this town are particularly well nourished.

Thanks Loyd. The pussy cat is my far too long departed Geoffrey. It was nice to give him a starring role after all these years.

That's one healthy mouse Gordon!

There is a little door in the attic of my house which leads into the roof cavity. My 8 year old granddaughter has had a constant fascination with it, even though she has never been game enough to open it and check inside. During sleepovers at my house, every story we tell, begins and ends with that door and what lays beyond. The stories range from a banishment room for the Red Flag pirates to portals leading into a parallel universe to tunnels opening up into other worlds. This challenge is based on one of her latest adventures……..

Re: Challenge 721: The cellar door
David, Gordon, Loyd, and Michael great work!

Now look here Anna, you must stop putting these faultless super-incredible, and super professional entries on site as it makes the rest of us look like donkey doings by comparison (I really speak for myself here)

Anyway, here is my rather poor comparison to which I provided a new sky.
