Challenge 724: Well, well, well
I came upon this dilapidated well in the French countryside this summer, and was very taken with the elegance of the structure.

It could really do with some restoration, though, and perhaps a new mechanism for drawing water. Normally this is a task I'd entrust to Mariner, but I'm sure the rest of you would like to have a go. Except for Michael Sinclair, of course, who will ignore the well entirely.

High res is here.

I feel quite flattered by that opening comment and will do my best not to disappoint.

Re: Challenge 724: Well, well, well
I had forgotten that my new computer arrives this weekend. One of our grandsons has now given up gaming and discovered beer and women so he is giving me his high-end gaming machine, which he has ruined with downloads and junk. I will be spending the week renovating it and hope to start learning Affinity very soon, so I will give this week's Challenge a miss. Steve's photo is amazingly good compared to his usual poor quality stuff so it looks good already. See you in a couple of weeks.

I think that little building is great, and a lot or lots of things could be done to it, but as to the background...

Not very entertaining but on brief.

Rabbit is on the menu

The first animation is a 3-framer

The second animation is a 12-framer:

Re: Challenge 724: Well, well, well
Variation on my previous theme.

Amazingly ...... these doggy treadmills really existed!

This was far, far too much work for a weekly challenge but I decided to treat it as an educational exercise in creating a 3D camera from the image by vanishing point analysis and then modelling to fit and trying to match the lighting.

(Basic modelling in Trimble Sketchup and texturing in Photoshop.)

Very impressive Michael! But the rabbit looks terribly unconcerned about his fate ........

I have used the original well, but "double doored" it and then removed the doors. I hope my perspective is in order.
