Re: Challenge 730: What am I letting myself in for
I have to confess to having found myself completely lost with this challenge ..... especially given the the very high standards set so far.

So, as usual when stumped, I have resorted to silliness.

Well, I thought you would still have the same shirt, and why change your hair. Be interesting to compare in 20 years who got the closest!

Happy Birthday Steve ... and thank you to Ben for providing the inspiration with his birthday cake

I hope your birthday party is quieter than this.

I felt like doing a couple of tweaks to the 'ageing' video

Happy Birthday, Steve.

It's amazing how well your shirt holds up over time.

This has been one of those weeks where everyone has produced outstanding work: well done everybody

Hopefully next week I'll be back to normal, so Here is an early example of my work done thirteen years ago (June 2007).

Took the summer off for lots of camping so with winter closing in I'll have to refresh my PS -- amazing how rusty one can get when you set it aside for a few months - nevertheless Happy 60th Steve : my projection of you at 80 !!! BEWARE: "it creeps up fast"

Steve I see your website has picked up some garbage. On the Friday Challenge forum headline you will see a newbie called hzr414n. If you click on that name you will see what I mean.

[UPDATE] It has gone now. This entry has killed it. Forget it.

Re: Challenge 730: What am I letting myself in for
First to age me gracefully was DavidMac, with a neat “menoporsche”. I like it, but (a) you’ve made the classic mistake of putting the driver too near the door - no room for shoulders, should be in line with the steering wheel - and (b) wouldn’t I prefer a right hand drive model? A truly intriguing second entry, though - must stop eating all that fried food.

A resurrected 10-year-old image from Tom - heavens! That’s what I look like now!

Interesting work from Ant Snell, who has grafted my eyes, nose and mouth onto an older face - a clever technique. But I now have two of those vertical lines on the right side of my mouth; and does old age mean my hair is no longer curly?

Good to see bayer2012 back after a long while - and a rather subtle aged me, with just my eyes and mouth recognisable. Very good blending into the photo - and I like the woolly hat.

Those cracks in my forehead, courtesy of GKB, look like they could use some filter - and you see now why I never grew a beard. An interesting (not to say curious) start to the animated version, with a square-jawed, clean-shaven me (although still with grey hair) transforming into the older version. I like what happens to the trees in the background, and the final baby. Small technical point: when you fade out multiple elements they go transparent. Better to fade in a black layer. A really fun second entry - that’s a resilient final flame! I like the falling leaves in the reworked Benjamin Button animation.

Ben Mills has me coming over all grumpy - and, for some reason, moving to Nottingham. Glad to see I have an expiry date 22 years away, though. Thanks Ben.

A rather touching entry from Ben Boardman, who has me losing hair but growing a beard - and still in my studio, surrounded by my furniture. I rather like those round glasses. And a magnificent array of pyrotechnics in the second entry!

Heavens! Has tooquilos turned me into Albert Einstein? And, in the animated version, Wolverine, Thor, the Incredible Hulk and a range of other superheroes. Glad you chose the Adam West Batman - suits my physique so much better than the later musclebound incarnations. What a fun collection of celebs! Love the final message. Thanks Anna.

A realistic image from Deborah Morley, slightly more craggy, but glad to see I haven’s lost any of my hair. And I do like that shirt.

Subtle work from Vibeke, who has me ageing only minimally. I rather like that approach. Good to see you posting again, Vibeke.

The cracks are showing in lwc's animated entry - I like how they appear gradually. Looks like one good shake and I’d fall apart.

So srawland has me losing all my hair - but doing so so slowly and gracefully in the animated version that you’d barely notice. Very tasteful, and lovely music.

Has Mariner set me up with a blow-up doll? No matter, I seem to have found the secret of eternal youth. At least my fangs aren’t showing.

A reprise of a 10-year-old image from michael sinclair - so you think I have a sex change to look forward to in my old age? Looks like I’ve been hitting the botox.

Good to see Frank back - and with a hugely realistic image, that could well be close to the mark. But that should be an e-pipe, surely?

A quickie, but a goodie, from Jota120. Really like the straggly facial hair. Nice one.

Thanks, everyone, for being more or less gentle with me!

I knew you would like this one. Thanks Steve. Don't let your wife see it.

Looking at the image yes you would appear to be absolutely correct. What is odd is that the driver was already in the car - all I did was replace the head at exactly the same size.

As for right hand drive it never crossed my mind. Too many years on the continent.

I found trying to treat this challenge literally, as so many others did so very well, exposed all my weaknesses. I was truly lost. Whatever I tried it looked 'doctored' and false.
