I think it's just the light on the front right wheel that's throwing the orientation out a bit. Nothing serious. It's a grand idea. Your second image is amazing. Perfectly composed. Well done. _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

Re: Challenge 753: Taxi Toys...
... for the idle rich. This guy must have had a bad taxi experience... at least he can fire it from his smartphone. I can't add sound effects... yell BOOM when you watch it. |

Thanks Anna, David. My solution was so obvious I had to get it in quickly before the competition.

Loyd, why not have a word with Anna or Gordon. They are masters of sound effects and, I feel sure, would be glad to advise you. |

Ah! I see what you mean now. Yes its a splash of sunlight on the tyre from the original which, in this context, looks a bit as if part of the wheel is missing. I should have darkened it. Re: Challenge 753: Taxi Toys...
BOOM! Baron Munchausen (phone in hand) tries out his new Uber Express dispatching service. Love the stretch taxi in the background. In Vegas or LA they'll stretch anything. I was once met at LA airport by a white stretched 1950's Rolls Royce complete with the classic high radiator - totally and ludicrously outrageous! Vegas has stretched vans complete with disco and pole dancer! They get so long that the chauffeurs have to have a special driver's licence for long vehicles. In the light of such follies your image starts to look almost plausible ............. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 753: Call me a taxi
Michael, Anna stepped right up with a 'BOOM'. Sound effects, when added to a gif, forces one to change it to a video. I guess I'm just hopelessly 'old school'. As for Gordon, he has had his hands full trying to teach me infrared photography. Anna, I love it. all three are great. I think I like the second one best because of the crispness of the sound, more like a 'POW' than a 'BOOM'. David, when I searched for a stretch limo image, one that came up from Google was a stretch Chevrolet Camaro... totally weird. This was one I made for the 'sound effect'. I had trouble choosing between the two, obviously I chose the other one. |

'The taxi ran amuck into a private garden disrupting a photo-shoot'... this also carries with it my apologies to Gordon and all other real infrared photographers. I made this faux/IR for the heck of it and did not intend to post it... but then why not? |

Re: Challenge 753: Call me a taxi
Glad you liked it Loyd. Sound does take it to the next level. You realise that later versions of Photoshop do support video and sound. Failing that you can alway import the gif into Hitfilm (which is a free program) and add sounds, music etc in that. http://freesound.org This is where I get most of my sound effects from. I also have an account with Pay Play http://payplay.fm . Most albums are $2.00 and each track is 20c. Really funny entries this week. The catapult one just cracked me up! They could use that in this season of Game of Thrones! I had a lot of time this weekend but will be quite busy during the week so Im posting it early. http://vimeo.com/332931828 _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |
