New website now up
I've updated the main How to Cheat website for the third edition. It's rather more fun than the stodgy previous site.

Still tinkering - suggestions welcome!

I love it... Really professional. The sample pages do their job, and make me want more! I like the part where you can drag you mouse over the picture of you, and it makes funny faces .

Looking good! The blue really works.

There does seem to be a problem with the contributing members' names and images on the second page of the wine glass PDF though.

You're absolutely right. Fixed in the book, I obviously put up an old PDF file. Damn.

Hahaha! I hadn't noticed the face-pulling, there's one which bears a striking resemblance to Chris Barrie

The new look website it fantastic, new readers will certainly enjoy visiting and it really does make it an integral part of the book.

Excellent qyirkiness with your photograph Steve in the "About the Author" section, haha. Is that to stop us copying it and montaging you?

Oh, I decided to give in to that one. One of the Test Yourself sections in the third edition has a photo of me for you do work with as you please. I'm already dreading the results!

Can't blame you for feeling this way at all, but I for one, can't wait to see what the pixel jockeys here do with it.

The site looks wonderful. It really pulls a person in and encourages them to stay and look around to see what other goodies await.

Site is great.
I have not seen the book on digital illustration here in Canada. I bought your book (How To Cheat 2) while visiting the UK. Are they both available here in Canada? I can use Amazon to order, so just asking out of interest.

Yes, as far as I know it's available through Amazon! It's a general guide to all things digital, rather than a specific tutorial book, though - so I'm not sure how relevant you'll find it! But thanks for the interest. You're probably better off waiting for Dad Stuff, which I'm really pleased with!

Wow! I love it. I went through each PDF file and I want the book, NOW! Is it for sale in the US, or must I wait? I like to buy book at bookstores, instead of online.

I love the samples from the Friday Challenge, it's a teriffic touch.

Re: New website now up
Thanks, Neal! Appreciate your comments. It will be available in the US some time in September - Amazon have it listed for 26th. Don't know when it will get into regular bookstores. It comes out in the UK on August 12th, I believe.

Although it appears from those samples as if the book's full of them, I only managed to get four examples using Friday Challenges into the whole book - those four that are included on the sample PDFs. But I agree, it works really well, and I hope to expand on this in future editions.
