Re: Chapter 3: deep space
Very good Emil. I would be inclined to add a small amount of gaussian blur to the earth, as the edge is just too crisp. Suggest copy the Earth layer and draw with a soft brush in quick mask, just sufficient to cover the edge. Add say between 2 and 5 pixels blur and then adjust the opacity of the copy layer until you have the right effect. I Googled images of the Earth and the edge is surprisingly crisp however, there is a very slight softness, if that makes sense. Your red planet looks superb. Nick |

Thank you Nick for your comment. I made the blur by feather of selection. I hope the result is what you thought. What do you think? It was quick try. _________________ The most beatiful thing we can experience is mysterious. It is the source of all true art and sience. - Albert Einstein |

Excellent, Emil! I particularly like the shading on your red planet - very convincing. |

Thank you Steve for your comment. I am not happy with the depth of the universe, I think that a object putting close to sun could help in that. Maybe my spiral galaxy is not work well in perspective like your or the stars are maybe big, it is just my feel about that work. _________________ For me the creative process is more one of discovery than creation. - James Lee Burke |
