Cosy little decoration.

I wasn't real sure who Tommy Cooper was but after looking him up I can see how the connection was made

There isn't an Englishman alive of my generation who doesn't know him.

When Ingrid first came to England thirty years ago her english was not very strong. I came home one day and found her sitting laughing out loud in front of the tele. She was watching Tommy Cooper. She said "I don't know who this is but he is SO funny!!". I think the fact that his humour was so basic and visual cut straight through the language barrier.

Steve. I take it that when Friday comes you will be showing us the reality!

Maybe there is an off topic thread here. "Whats your workplace?". Are you super hi-tech or an ageing laptop on the kitchen table? Do you hide away in an attic or basement or is your pass-time a part of the main household? An adult version of the childhood 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours.'

OK so my other post was just a joke. As far as I know Steve does not have a deer skull sconce, but it seemed like something he should have. I also probably should have given him a book shelf. Maybe he can pick one up from Ikea.

I think we've all been waiting to see what the CleanupMeister was going to do.

Now that is what I call CLEAN.

But I have a nasty suspicion you have come up against my pet hate. Sorry to be picky, but the lady looks suspiciously like Fuse or something similar. Why not just find a nice photo? Forgive me if I am mistaken.

And this one is excellent. For some reason I missed it earlier. Very impressive Sara. Hard on Mariner's heels there.

Thank you, David. That is a very high compliment, indeed.

You are forgiven. I don't use Fuse or anything similar. I added a better ear, nose and mouth but the image was enhanced using mainly the painting tools. Below you will find an illustration of my progress. If you click on the image twice you will see it super-size. Looking at this now I can see it needs a lot more work, but on Wednesday I still had loads to do and was beginning to worry about time.

Re: Challenge 800: How time has passed
First to wade into the unfathomable depths of my office was DavidMac, with a beautiful clean-up job - my desk has literally never been so tidy. Really good to see a couple of my artworks in there, too. Terrific reflections; is that a special pocket-sized edition of HotChiPs though?

A fine restoration from Frank, with a new pot for the (artificial) plant and a shiny new iMac, its packaging still visible behind. Looks like your copy of HotChiPs is a specially extended edition! And that Wacom tablet seems a long way away - my arms aren’t that long.

I really like tooquilos's virtual keyboard - will there be a monitor to go with it? A really high tech animated version, and I really want one of those hologram computers! Not sure I can imagine working in Photoshop on a translucent screen.

Much tidying from GKB, with a few of my artworks sprinkled around. Is the copy of HotChiPs upside down so you wouldn’t have to make the spine? It’s also a very slimmed-down edition! A fine new view, though, and it reminds me that I haven’t seen Polo mints for a very long time.

A new member this week, and SarahLou has stormed in with a glorious twin-monitor fantasy - what a great way to work! Although I think I’d find that wallpaper rather distracting. A really cool entry, SarahLou. Welcome to the Forum!

A splendid multiple monitor setup from Vibeke, with a fascinating easel for the one on the right. I do like that new office chair. And it looks like you’ve given me a new SLR - DavidMac will certainly be pleased. I like the miniature artwork on the 3D printer.

I laughed out loud at srawland's entry - now that’s one way to clean my office! A rather tasty second entry, too, with plenty of clear space. Maybe I should put some shelves up to get those books off the floor? Great job making the chair back translucent - that must have been tricky.

A remarkably tidy office from Mariner, beautifully rebuilt - the sunlight effect is particularly appealing. Turn my desk around? Now there’s an idea. The plastic surgery on the mannequin is extraordinary: I think the element that makes it look somewhat bizarre is the mouth, and it’s only because the lighting is the wrong way around.

Thank you, Steve. But, I must confess it was very easy to get the chair back to be translucent as it is a Pixelsquid object. But I am wondering if you are going to now make deer skull sconces.

Holy Moly Steve, what a mess! I do like the cannabis plant though. I considered putting one in my graphic but thought it might offend you.

Thank you Steve, it was a lot of fun.
The screen on the right is a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24.

Goblin press edition.

You are of course quite right. Missed it completely!

Your desk is exactly as I remembered!

This raises an interesting question. Almost philosophical. If you erase a persons imperfections and try to make them immaculate do you effectively erase the very qualities that make them human?

Three separate criticisms from Steve on our renditions of his book.

Sensitive spot there Steve?
