Challenge 867: Landguard Fort
Landguard Fort, just outside Felixstowe on the Suffolk coast, was built in the 18th century, replacing a fort that had successfully repelled a Dutch invasion in 1667. It was remodelled over the years, and last saw active service as a Cold War outpost in the 1950s.

Among the many rooms in this historic building is this barrack scene. Of course, it looks a little sterile without anyone to occupy it. Can you bring it to life?

High res is here.

Oberleutnant Sinclair has instructed me to deal with this in my own inimitable way!

Steve, the dreadful perspective of your photo suggests you are (once again) using your Kodak Brownie 127.

Oberleutnant Sinclair has rewarded me with a spare staff car belonging to our beloved Fuhrer

I take all the FC images on my iPhone, because that’s the camera I always have with me. Usually I stand back and use the 2x camera because that has less of a wide angle view, and so greatly reduces the distortion. This room was so small I wasn’t able to use that camera and had to use the regular one.

I know you don't do it on purpose, Steve. This distortion has provided me with an especially difficult and interesting challenge. I have made the room bigger and am now struggling to fit things/people into it in a way which looks natural.

Yes it will quickly get extreme if you extend it far. But that can get interesting or can be just bizarre.

I have a lot on this week. I shall look in from time to time bit not be participating.

A room with a view.

The pussy cat on the sofa is my far-too-long-departed Geoffrey.
