Challenge 888: Happy IYOG 2022

Next Friday is Christmas Eve, and the following one is New Year's Eve. I'm planning on being swamped by festive good cheer on both of those days, so I'm taking a couple of weeks off to wind down (and hopefully to look away from the screen).

Your task over the next three weeks is to present me with the number 2022 in the most beautiful way you can manage. It might help to know that, apparently, 2022 will be the International Year of Glass, whatever that means.

No starting image this week - you'll have to type 2022 all by yourselves. Oh, OK, here's one you can copy and paste:

On a sidenote: following from the above, Near Year's Day comes exactly a week after Christmas Day, so it's always on the same day of the week. But in 1945, Christmas Day and New Year's Day were on different days of the week. Why was this? Hands up when you work it out, but hold off on spoiler solutions until next Friday, please.

Lots of fun entries so far. What follows is completely excessive .... basically because I got lost with this one. So my apologies in advance for the overkill.

I was very at sea with this challenge. So I did what I often do when a bit lost for ideas, which is to invent a challenge for myself whilst trying to preserve some of Steve's original request ....... even if moving rather far from his intentions.

In this case I decided to use my particular loves of perspective and lighting to try and incorporate the number 2022 into different urban landscapes as seamlessly as possible.

Because I started enjoying myself so much, I got a bit carried away!!!

However, think of these not so much as multiple submissions as a series of studies. Although I have taken liberties with condensing and expanding all are derived from real typefaces. Some are far more successful than others. Some are really simple and obvious and some are much more complex and furtive.

I am genuinely very curious to hear what you think works and what you think doesn't. All the images enlarge a lot if clicked.
