Thanks Steve. Yes, I love 3D PBR lighting. It's based on real life situations. The type of lighting has advanced so much in the last few decades as apposed to yesterday-year filament lighting. In PBR, you can create a profile based on the type of lighting that would be found in any given situation. Absorbency , refraction, reflection, surface shattering, and secondary light all playing a roll with luminance, at the same time. I model and art in a softly lit environment. Normally late at night when there are no disturbances. Maybe that plays a roll but under that ideal viewing light, one captures the mood of a carefully illuminated scene. It does put the image at the edge of being to dark, especially if my screen calibration has been tampered with. I also do various things at work. Doubt these monitors are calibrated... But having said that...yes, maybe I should illuminated my renders more.
