Re: Challenge 717: Load me up
Ben Mills was the first in the DIY store this week, with an ingenious if somewhat terminal solution. Yes, I think that should just about do it.

I like DavidMac's idea of adding rear wheels to the package - and those added straps are a good touch. A nicely constructed second entry, and the new buildings aren’t a bad match; again, the strap makes all the difference. A beautifully reconstructed package in the third entry - I like how it’s resting on the buffer, and the rope is splendid.

An interesting trailer from lwc. Very low on the ground, though; wouldn’t it just scrape along the road as it’s dragged along? I like the new number plates. An ingenious second entry - I like the elegance with which you’ve shifted the whole background along. Don’t forget to glaze that rear window, though. And a neat third entry - although it still doesn’t look long enough.

A bit of a helping hand from GKB, with a Minion hovering above the package - now there’s a novel approach. Great 3D Minion in the animated version - the moment when it lifts the package out of the car is fantastic. And I’m really hoping you did all the voices yourself. Enjoyed the second entry!

An industrial strength army trailer from srawland, with the package just visible. Of course the real work here went into closing the hatch and patching the background - very neat; but is that black car missing a right hand side? Nice typography in the animated entry, with a neat ripple on the surface of the swimming pool. A very subtle parallax effect - I can see why it took so long to do. Perhaps the sofa should be at an angle so it looks more wedged in?

Ant Snell as a very different approach - and you’re right, it does look like fun. But shouldn’t the skates of the man holding the package be pointing in line with the car? And if you’re going to add speed as in the second entry, surely the blur should either be on the background or on the car, but not both?

A very cute animation from michael sinclair. Most enjoyable. But I think you could do with a collection of seamless wraparound skies! I like the drone delivery in the second entry - but really? Concorde still flying where you are?

A beautifully lengthened car from Deborah Morley, with fine extended windows. This looks like it must have taken a long time - but well worth it.

Several additional packages from tooquilos, with a very slightly longer car for them to fit in. The opening tailgate helps, though. A like the way the swinging title sign in the animated version leaves a hole in the wall, and that’s a great rain effect. So I’m guessing you’re not a big fan of self-assembly furniture?

Thanks Steve. Yes I recorded the voices myself using a very good bit of freebie sound editing software called Audacity. After recording I simply changed the pitch to get the right kind of voice.

Audacity is available for both MAC and PC.

Well..it has its purpose. For example it’s ideal for adding to bonfires

Thank you Steve.
