Challenge 992: The Big Deal
This poster for Costa Coffee is a beautiful piece of work: each letter artfully made out of a Costa product. It's the sort of thing I'd have loved to have been asked to do.

Your mission this week: perform a similar task for the high street chain of your choice. Given the amount of work involved I will of course accept, for example, McD rather than the full McDonalds. I suggest clothing fans avoid Abercrombie & Fitch for the same reason.

It's beautifully done but an oddly unappetising idea for food. It somehow makes everything look completely synthetic and plastic.

On the other hand if you really want a challenge you could try the Chinese condom manufacturer Uncle Niu whose full company name has apparently just been banned by the Chinese State Administration:-

"There Is a Group of Young People With Dreams, Who Believe They Can Make the Wonders of Life Under the Leadership of Uncle Niu Internet Technology Co Ltd."

I think I'm going to pass on this one ...............

Yes, sorry if it’s too much of an ask. I’ve been laid up with shingles for the past three weeks which has now turned into neuralgia and I’m not at my most imaginative.

Steve I am sorry that you have neuralgia. Let's hope it very soon fades away.

So sorry Steve. My mom flares up with it, periodically. It isn't very pleasant. Hope it clears shortly and doesn't give you too much discomfort!

Re: Challenge 992: The Big Deal
Hi Steve

Shingles! Sorry to hear. That can be very painful. Hope you mend soon.

I expressed myself badly. When I said I'd pass on this one, I meant the 108 character Chinese company name, not the challenge.

I rather like the challenge. Or at least I did until ...........

My first thought was the Belgian company BRICO it's the Belgian equivalent of B&Q. Then what do I find? Ant has, yet again, beaten me to it with same idea! Not only that ...... but this is the B I was going to use.

He's beaten me to that too! And what's more, his B is much Better!

Mine was Back to the drawing board.

So then I came up with a new idea .... IKEA ...... only to find Ben has beaten me to that one too!

Looks like I'm going to be left with having to do "There Is a Group of Young People With Dreams, Who Believe They Can Make the Wonders of Life Under the Leadership of Uncle Niu Internet Technology Co Ltd." after all!

Sorry David, Perhaps we ought to collaborate each Friday morning before either of us starts any work

Thanks, Gordon My first thought was Ann Summers but didn't want to get thrown off the site so changed my mind.

You can't actually delete a post - only Steve can do that. But you can change it. Go to your post that you want to remove and click Edit on the left. Delete all the text and substitute whatever you want like "Double post removed".

Re: Challenge 992: The Big Deal
Loyd I love the heat hazed Colonel. Neat touch.

I have decided to stick with IKEA as my entry is completely different from Ben's far more elegant offering. This isn't really what Steve was after at all, but I am hoping it's close enough to sneak under the radar.

I'm very sorry that you have shingles Steve as my grandfather suffered with it until his passing, and had to be on heroin until the end.

Nice work Anna. (last challenge) What software do use. I've just started Filmora 13 (after a lot of testing other products, and found that to be very easy to use as well?

I love your entry Michael (last challenge)

Very clever Ant

Very smart David

Here is my first entry entitled How to cheat!
