it's PS idea, I change it comes up as PSD, I change it to JPG and PS changes it to IMG. very strange.

Very strange indeed. I suggest you reinstall CS6 - that's not behaving as it should!

Thanks, good idea, as Bridge is not working too well. Might just wait for the real version, still running Beta.

I have figured out. I was using the old plug-in library.

Ah, that makes sense. Although it remains to be seen how many of the old plug-ins will work with CS6 (although I think most of them will).

The one I really wanted, worked fine, but I had selected the old plug in directory as an alternative.
It was quite interesting though, All I needed to do when I was trying to 'save as' was move down the list of file until PS changed the extentison to the one I wanted.
