How to Wordle in Photoshop
I've just pasted the entire text of HotChiPs into wordle, which creates word clouds automatically - the larger the word, the more times it featured in the book.

Interesting result!

Thats amazing Steve. Ive just tried it with the first chapter of War and Peace. Interesting that the word "Anna" appears the largest lol. This was purely by chance

Re: How to Wordle in Photoshop
Hi Anna, I initially had visions of you typing out a whole chapter of WAP for a wordle.

Trevor, where does your text come from or shouldn't I ask?

Re: How to Wordle in Photoshop
Sophie,

It comes from a translation of 老子道德经 = Lao Tzu - Tao Te Ching Wade-Giles or Dao De Ching modern Chinese pinyin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tao_Te_Ching

There seem to be many translations, and given ancient classical Chinese, it is very difficult to interpret. For this I took a translation off the web. Not sure it is great, but the Penguin Classics version I have by D.C. Lau is just a hard copy is fine for me. Nice small book. I see it as philosophical rather than mystic or anything else.

I also tried one on one of my specifications .... now that was worrying or boring

Trevor

Re: How to Wordle in Photoshop
There's a game here, I think - putting a well known book through Wordle so others have to work out which book it is.

Is it possible, though? Here's one to kick things off...

I think its Robinson Crusoe also Sophie. Also Sophie, its just a matter of finding an ebook version and copying and pasting a section

Indeed, Wuthering Heights it is - that Heathcliff is a giveaway. And yes, my one was Robinson Crusoe. Next?
