I am officially annoyed!
Yesterday morning I went and bought a new hard drive for my PC, I then got home installed it and set about reinstalling XP onto it.... Simple enough you'd think, but NO, some how I managed to get infected by a virus 'during' the installation. I bought a DVD-RW too so I could start backing up my images.... 
But I lost everything on my other hard drive, ALL the photoshop images i've done in the past, ALL 1143 photos I took whilst in America and hundreds of photos of events and parties with my friends.... It's now 11:35am and I've now been awake for a little over 28 hours and i've finally sorted it out, just a shame I can't get the images back!!! The worse thing is I start work at 9pm tonight until 6am and I don't think i'll get a chance to have a nap beforehand! _________________ We made a promise we swore we'd always remember, No retreat no surrender |

That's terrible! What have you done with the old drive? There are recovery programs out there which may be able to salvage them. I had a similar experience but it was partially my own fault. 5Gb of data lost. I managed to get some of it back but it was still a major PITA. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

You have my sympathies ... I think we've probably all lost stuff in the past and yet still guilty of not backing stuff up properly .. I have an external drive that I try to back my pictures up to .. have to admit i'm still not that disciplined though 
Still worth checking out to see if there is anyway to recover these files from your old hard drive though .. it's worth a shot All the best .. Dek |

Sorry to hear about it B2R! I had something similar, when all my home videos and videos made with freinds was all lost when the hard-drive just RANDOMLY died on me!
