Lighting effects
I would like to learn how to produce some lighting effects to my landscape images, things like adding sunsets, creating atmosphere with fog and lighting.

What would be the best book to get to learn this, many thanks

Phil

Re: Lighting effects
I,m new here but i use a site called deviant art to download brush,s you can get some really great fog and smoke brush,s from there for cs5

the way i do it is to add a blank layer at the top of my layer stack and paint with the fog smoke or light brush,s on to the blank layer

then you can lower the opacity of that layer or erase some of the light etc if its to much for your image

I am very miffed as to why we dont have a lighting effect on the Mac version of CS5 this is an effect I really miss

there are a fair few ways though to add light to an image by using selections feather and layers

check out deviant art most brush,s are free to download and use

Re: Lighting effects
Hello Andrea,
There is still Lighting Effects in CS5 on a Mac. You just have to open Photoshop in 32 bit mode to use it. As indeed with some plug-ins.

Re: Lighting effects
Find the Photoshop icon in your Applications folder, and choose Get Info (command I). This opens a window in which you can tell Photoshop to open in 32-bit mode.

Irritating, I know, but at the moment it's the only workaround.
