Letting Photobucket have it with both barrels!!!
Recently without any warning, I have experienced difficulty with Photbucket with uploading animations and losing pre-existing animations in previous Friday challenges. So here is what I had to say to them on the support form: sinclair97 Oct 4, 7:20 AM MDT CURRENT STATUS: I'm a "premium" member have been for some years. Over the last year or so I have been able to upload my images ( animated gif files) without any problem; however, for the last two weeks, I have not been able to see the animated images show up on the website How to cheat in Photoshop in spite of doing everything as normal. I copy and paste the IMG file to this site, but after about twenty minutes a little box with a cross appears; moreover, hundreds of images from this site now also show the little box with a cross; in other words NONE of my images show. There is one exception and that is single jpeg images, and TWO frame only animated gifs work fine, so it appears that anything more than two frames will not work. even animations under 5 meg. I have also emptied my temp internet files etc to no avail. If you are unable to help then I must find another competent image hosting site who will help me. Regards Michael Their reply: Drew (Photobucket Support) Oct 11, 1:23 PM MDT Hi Michael, We apologize for the delay. In regards to gifs, we've recently made a change on the site to optimize image loading times for hosted images. With this change, gifs are now set to a maximum frame of 20. This is the reason why your gifs may not display properly or if they look like they are missing some frames. Going forward, we suggest creating your gifs within this limit before uploading them to your account. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Best, They replied again and said: Hello, We haven't heard back from you in a few days so we're checking in with you! We're hoping this means our suggestions have worked, or you've answered your question yourself. If this is the case, well done! If your question is still unanswered, don't worry! You can reply back to this email and re-open the ticket, or if its been a while, it will open a new ticket. Thank you, To which I have just sent another email to them saying: I am very unhappy with the response from Photobucket. I’m a premium holder: I pay! And without any warning my pre-existing images on an important site (How to cheat in Photoshop) were removed. it took many, many hours to create and complete these animations. you have made BAD changes which have compromised my works, and to add insult to injury you talk to me as if I’m some kind of stupid dog . what you have done is unacceptable! I therefore make a formal complaint. Michael Sinclair ![]() ![]() |
