fish eye look*
hello, does anyone know how to get this look in Photoshop without me having to go out and purchase a fish eye lens? thanks!  |

The distort/spherize filter looks like it will do what you want you can seletct areas of your image to distort or apply to the entire image, I have not used it myself have a play and see for yourself |

Hi bohogirl, welcome to the forum. You can get some good distortions by using the 'warp free transform' First make the background into a layer, then enter 'Free Transform' (CTRL + T, then click on the 'warp' button on the tool options bar) Drag the grid until you get what you want, then click on the tick to accept the transformation. Alternatively, play around with the 'remove distortion' slider in the 'Lens Correction' filter (Filter > Distort > Lens Correction) |

I have to agree with Wayne on this - the Lens Correction under Distort is the option I use for this effect and as you say, why buy a fisheye lens? It's one of those things you would probably use once a year - rather like my Cokin Tobacco Grad filter which makes African sunsets over the savannah look so impressive but does not really do much in Rotherham _________________ rob_stroud@yahoo.co.uk |
