scratch disk
Have read some of the blogs on scratch disk. To prevent messing up my hard drive can I use a 1 gig USB flash drive? I have 1 gig of ram. I am using CS3 and do not see an option to change scratch disk. I go to Edit>Preferances>Performance and see scratch disk C listed, but how do you add others? |

Re: scratch disk
You will need to partition your C drive into 2 or more disks. I suggest at least 3. One for your operating system and programs. One for your Data and one as a scratch disk. |

CY. No i dont think you can use removable storage as a scratch disk it has to be a physical hard drive, and not a flash drive. Thats wy your not seeing an option to add a drive becuase photoshop wont let you use a flash drive |

Re: scratch disk
Ok, thanks. Waiting for Vista Service Pack 1 to arrive. IN meantime should look into partition magic as I certainly don't want to re-install all my programs. |
