Shortcuts not working!
I've just started with this book and the shourtcuts are not working. Is there anything I need to have checked somewhere because they just are not working at all. I am using a pc and following the blue (win) colored shortcuts provided in the book. For example I try to use the shortcut of alt left arrow to autofill and it doesn't work. However when I drop down the edit menu the shourtcut for fill is shift F5, and that fills it in. |

Can you explain further? Are you using a Mac or a PC? Are you sure you're using the shortcuts relevant to your platform - Mac shortcuts are shown in red, PC shortcuts in blue. Which ones in particular are you having difficulty with? |

That could be the problem, for that example, anyway: it's not the left arrow, it's alt+backspace to bring up the fill dialog. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

In the book Left arrow and Backspace look the same... the backspace arrow is just longer
See page 11 for Backspace example in step 3. I donT know if alt-Left arrow does anything _________________ |

Re: Shortcuts not working!
I hope i am putting this on the right forum. I am using the pen tool to select the cup. but when i press ctr, enter to make it a selection only the cup and not the handle is selected. the icon on the far right of the pen tool bar shows-EXCLUDE OVERLAPPING PATH AREA. I dont know what i am doing wrong. It is driving me nuts |
