warp & eyedropper
hi is it possible to add new "points" to the grid in warp mode? (Custom mode) and thereīs something i donīt understand about the Eyedropper tool..what is the use of "3 by 3 average" etc? i mean why would you want to know the "average value" instead of the precise value (Point sample).?? |

1. No, you can't add points to the grid, sadly. Nor can you reduce the number of points, which would frequently be very useful. It's to be hoped this will be addressed in a future version of Photoshop though. 2. Very often an individual pixel won't be the same colour as the surrounding pixels - due to camera noise, perhaps. So if you want to sample the colour of a wall, or a skintone, or a car, you want the average colour at that point, rather than the colour of the individual pixel you happen to click on. Zoom into any Photoshop document and you'll see how much variation there is on a pixel level. |
