Question on chapter 2 'Special effects with cloning'
Hi, In the book page 50-51 is written "On a new empty layer, behind the current (guard) layer, begin to clone the new guard in with a single brush stroke that paints in the enitre guard in one step. And there he is, perfectly next to the original." So far I'm following I created a new layer and painted over the overlay so that the new guard is behind the original one Then when you "release the mouse button, you'll see that the overlay now updates itself to show a third guard...". This however doesn't work for me. The overlay only gets updated if I stay on the original guard layer, but then you can't paint the new guard BEHIND the original one (only on top of it). Same for the triumphal arch and the flowerspiral. Anything I'm missing here? Steven |

Check out this link for discussion on cloning policemen. Did not re-read the post but it may address your question. http://www.howtocheatinphotoshop.com/cgi-bin/simpleforum_pro.cgi?fid=02&topic_id=1185808944&highlight=cloning%20guard |
