Attention: forum etiquette
Paul, You posted in the Problems and Solutons forum some days ago about a problem using the Hand Tool in CS3 to which a number of us made an effort to respond with possible fixes. However, you have not reciprocated our response; moreover, to make matters worse, you have made a post today on the Papyrus font thread, yet you have chosen to ignore your first post (with its replies) that requests help! Have to agree Michael. If help is sought and answers are provided, then a response, or acknowledgement should be forthcoming. Similarly, if you post an item in the readers gallery and people view and comment, surely their observations are also worthy of a response. A case in point is 'before and after' posted a few days ago. Perhaps you should drop the submitter a line! Nick |

Re: Attention: forum etiquette
Nick, If I failed to give a response in the thread "Before and After", then I apologise. But honestly, I found there were just general comments and then the thread went onto HDR; however, I did appreciate the comments. Michael ![]() |

Re: Attention: forum etiquette
I am offended Michael by your comments. Who are you to say I chose to ignore the other thread. The problem in question fixed itself and the fact I asked for any help had slipped my mind as I was so glad that it was working again I could get on with my work. I am very grateful to all those including yourself who offered suggestions. I have replied in that thread now, even before reading this thread (PM Steve if you want him to check the server logs for proof of this) I know Nick was joking, but your "before and after" thread DID deserve more input from yourself to clarify some points raised. The purpose of that thread was very vague. Were you just showing some work you'd done? Were you proud of it and wanted to show people how good you were? Were you asking if it looked ok? Did you want suggestions on how to improve it? Was it the finished image or a work in progress? By your own admission you "chose not to reply". Further more I didn't feel the need to start a thread about it. There IS a private message facility on this forum if you had any issues. I think you should put your own house in order before making ill informed judgements on others. |

Again, I apologise, as you have made it clear of the circumstances surrounding this issue. But at the time one got the distinct impression we were given the two-fingered salute on are efforts to help you. Michael |

Whoa! Break it up, guys. Back to your corners. Cold baths all round. Now come out and shake hands. Thanks. |
