Another Bridge issue
Has anyone experienced opening a photo in Bridge and it is a completely different picture? I have been making copies of my original photos to a new folder so I don't have to edit the originals. In the new folder Bridge seems to be using duplicate images in the same folder but when I click on the image, it's a different photo. It's actually the correct photo that opens but why would Bridge be repeating some of the same images for thumbnails? The only way to tell what the correct photo is to open it in PS. I also opened Windows Explorer to view the photos and all of the photos are the correct ones. Also, the folder with the original photos is doing the same thing. It isn't just the copies. If I do any edit, even adjust the level slightly then close and save it, the original picture is now restored. I recently started adding metadata to my files in Bridge. Could this have any effect? I don't see what I could be doing wrong adding metadata. I hope this makes sense. I really need help. I'm trying to write my stair book and I'm taking more time trying to find the right photos that I need. Thanks |

Re: Another Bridge issue
I have seen this posted on the Bridge forum a couple of months ago. Don't quote me on this but I believe the user renamed the files and that solved the problem. |

Before I renamed the files I copied the originals to a temp folder. They all view correctly in Bridge without renaming them. I tried renaming the originals. No change. |

Re: Another Bridge issue
I left out one crucial element, one has to open the image and then save with new file name. But would suggest a search on the Bridge forum to see if I am off base. |
