Art & Design in Photoshop
Hi Steve, I had problem with Tutorial 09.04 Quick and dirty neon. There is point 4. Instruction is saying to click on thumbnail of the neonīs to load selection and then use Refine Edge dialog. It does not work. I made it that I loaded the thumbnail of original text (not neon layer) and after made the Refine Edge. Is there a mistake or I did wrong way? Also point 5 is saying to fill new layer with black but at me it does not work again. First I made stroke on the new layer to have the smaler neon lines and after draged the layer style from neon layer. I reached the same effect as you Steve. I hope you undestand. |

Emil, I don't understand what's going wrong here, Emil. In step 4, did you manage to load the selection of the text? Hold Command (Mac) Ctrl (Win) as you click on the thumbnail in the Layers panel to load the text as a selection. Is this the problem? Or something else? |

Steve, that is the problem. When I followed the instructions (at point 4) I clicked on the thumbnail of neon's layer instead of the text layer. So, I could not make the contract of the text. Is not there in instruction some mistake? Maybe I did some mistake on my side in process of that Tutorial. |

I meant to click on the thumbnail of the neon text, Emil. Sorry, I should have made this clearer. I'll correct it in future editions! |
