How to connect the first layer with the background layer?
If I am working with 10 layers (for example) but I need to use the quick mask on the first layer in order to get some areas of the background layer on it, how do I do that? Thank you very much for your answer. |

Re: How to connect the first layer with the background layer?
Hi Emma Make a selection of what you want from the background using selections or quick mask. Use CTRL-J to place the selection to a new layer. Grab the new layer by the thumbnail and drag it to where you want in the layer stack. If you want to merge the content with information on another layer, place the new layer above it and merge down. You could clone by using 'current and below', but take care if mistakes are made. Better to ensure your new content is correct and then merge. There are a number of ways of achieving this aim, i.e. layer groups is one option. Is my understanding correct? Nick |
