| Nelson * Posts: 4 Reply | CS4: Layer mask3-smoothing When i try and move my shadow layer, only it's layer mask moves - it wouldnt be so much of a problem except that the feathering also affects the edges of the layer mask - making it stand out. how do i get rid of it/what am i doing wrong? here's an image of it. http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1108907/68%20-%20Layer%20Masks%203.jpg thanks in Advance. |

| Steve Caplin Administrator Posts: 7072 Reply   | Re: CS4: Layer mask3-smoothing You can select either the layer or its mask in the Layers Panel - whichever one is selected will have a double border around the icon. Sounds to me like you have the mask selected. |

| Nelson * Posts: 4 Reply | Re: CS4: Layer mask3-smoothing it doesnt seem to matter whether ive selected the layer or the mask - the mask layer still moves no matter what (unlike the shadow layer picture in step 4 on pg 6  . When I initially move it, it looks fine, it's only if i adjust the mask feathering that the mysterious black box appears - im guessing it's a bug? the work around it is to move the man layer instead. |
