Photo Clean-up
Attached is an image of a map that is being "cleaned up" On the left in the yellow box you can see a crease, and on the right the crease removed. My friend says this repair was done with Photoshop. Anyone out there know how to go about this type of repair?

Thanks

Jeff

Re: Photo Clean-up
The 'good' hexagons can be copied and used as a patch to maintain the integrity of the lines. The remainder can be achieved quite easily with some careful cloning work, using selections where appropriate. Best to avoid using paint of the correct colour as you will lose the texture on the paper, although this can be replaced.

Re: Photo Clean-up
I would also use the clone tool on a new layer for the green. Not being able to see all the detail from the shot, but I would sample the yellow etc and paint on a new layer - then make a new layer from the selection, fill with a mid grey, add noise then a gaussian blur to match the existing 'noise', then change to a hard or soft light layer.
Is this a long winded way of doing it, although it doesn't take long??
