Never done much in 3D but have played with it occassionally, wanted to use it for this weeks challange, but my 3D menu is greyd out. What's missing? _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

The Photoshop CS4 3D ability is based upon your graphic card having OpenGL capability - go to Edit>Prefrences>Performance... and check the box that says Enable OpenGL Drawing within the GPU Settings area of the tab. Hope that helps ![]() |

Thanks Betty, But all those boxes have been ticked. I have used 3D in the past, and as far as I know haven't made any recent changes. to try and fix it I even uninstalled and re-installed PS. I'm running CS4 extended, and have a good graphics card, so it should all work. _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

I'm now more confused than ever. I UNTICKED the box, saying enable OpenGl drawing, and now the 3D works???? _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Oh well at least it works then - perhaps it was the other way around. *shrug* I'll have to check my settings. *edit* Well OpenGL enabled or disabled works on my machine only slower without it - maybe on yours, Vibeke, there was some initial incompatibiliy have you tried it enabled as well as disabled now it's working again.
