gooood mmoooorning!
would anyone pls be so kind and provide some information on which graphic-board (digitizer tablet sounds sooo strange) i should buy? of course i know about the necessity of having a pressure sensitive pen with it, but does a € 100,- board do the trick? until now i mostly "work" using either a mouse or built in pad on a pc. |

Yes, indeed - a Wacom tablet will do you just fine. I now use the low-end Bamboo Fun, after having been sent it for review. The good thing about this one is that the tablet doubles as a multi-touch pad as well, so you can use your fingers to scroll, select, pan, enlarge and so on. Very cool. And it's within your price range too. However, as I keep saying: remember you'll hate it for the first week. But stick with it. |

Plus têtue que tous les vieil homme et la mer... i am not one who gives up easily steve. thanks for this very valuable information. what put me off the bamboo thing was that in apples description it was mentioned as being able to scroll and pan not that one is able to draw on it. i will inspect it right now. |

I use a Wacom Graphire. Love it. Many people make the mistake of buying a big one and it's a nightmare. You're arm is travelling all over the place and it doesn't half make you ache, lol. Small is best. |

That sounds very useful, how much was the multi-use tablet? |

I've just bought the same one today. It's terrible on my windows machine. It's a decent enough spec PC, but the tablet is very sluggish. If I draw several lines (with the pen) in photoshop, it cannot keep up and continues to draw these after I have finished. Out of interest I tried it on my Macbook Pro and it works like a dream on there. Zooming and rotating on the MBP are smooth too in CS4. I am wondering if there is a problem with Windows 7 and their current drivers. I love it otherwise though. With my old Graphire tablet I'd often catch myself trying to use it like a track pad, now I can
I don't think I could ever work with no mouse completely, but it's nice to have the option of the trackpad. |
