This cut out is way too complex
Hey all, if you can be bothered here's my problem introduction on the first paragraph, skip if you want to get straight to the problem.. So, my girlfriend has gotten me a Christmas present but unfortunately I have no money to get her anything and despite she says she doesn't mind, I would cry of guilt, or so I thought. I had an idea of making her something from Photoshop, but I thought the initial idea of having a pretty picture on a peice of paper would be a rubbish idea, but then I figured out I that my camera has quite high resolution (10 Mp) and it would be quite nice on a big canvas mybe with glass surrounding it, my dad will help me pay for that if it's not too expensive. The picture I was thinking of doing would be an Ipod Symbol, basic but fun! Basically what I need to do is cut her out of the photo which is in this attechment and in Photoshop terms fill the layer(s) in Black, as you do. I was thinking to make it more realistic looking do the same with the bed but make it a very dark red. For her hair though which is mainly the problem, I want to keep all of her hair so from zoomed out you can still see the fine tips of her hair which is still Black, it's touch so that's why I'm asking for a bit of help because there's a lot of image detail near her hair and the Background Remover tool really isn't helping me out very much hear! Don't worry, I have untill the second of January, as she lives quite far away and that's when she'll be able to give me my Christmas present but a bit late.
