Water & Iceberg | How can this be done?
Hi there, I have been fascinated with this advertisement for quite some time, perhaps you have seen it: http://adsoftheworld.com/files/images/sanyoiceberg.jpg My question is: how can I achieve such beautifully coloured water? Another question, is this advertisment pure Photoshop you think? |

Hi cartoonsmart, I think this link should be just the ticket http://www.rnel.net/tutorial/Photoshop/13832 When you see the tutorial you'll be able to answer the second question. Let's have a look at any results. Have fun. Gordon _________________ Why is there only one body to investigate Monopolies ? |

Hey Gordon, Thank you so much... I also found this one: http://www.digitalartsonline.co.uk/tutorials/index.cfm?featureID=1792 Do you think the creative behind the ad made it in Photoshop? I will start working at it... Thanks again. |

I do not think it is pure Photoshop. But Gordon gave you the answer I think..... Many here will be interested in your work. Creativity is good once can control it in PS as well. |

Well the surface water looks really tight. Unlike the tutorials I saw using that filter or PS effect; however all the tuts I saw deal with a fully underwater scene. It is possible the liquid originates from a 3d program like Blender, C4d, 3ds max or perhaps even Vue. However, it still might be Photoshop only. The saatchi & saatchi people might have been very conservative with the liquid effect. Like imagine a very hi res image the began with; it was used for print so it had to be huge. Now this version is heavily scaled down I suppose and the surface water edge is therefore perhaps not as clear as to identify the ps effect. I hope I am not to vague. Still I find it fascinating to dissect works of digital art. |

Its not 100% reality that is for sure. Someone or several people were creative doing that. What do you want to do? |

I am not sure yet. But it involves a shark and a REAL iceberg. But perhaps I will turn to a 3d solution like Blender for the liquid. Still I will try the tutorial Gordon suggested as it is the most decent of the ones I found maybe I can figure something out. |
