Mask moving with the layer
So I recently figured out the reason my curser would always change to a cross, which is just the press of a key! But I'm having a little trouble fixing this, see, when I mask something, and then move the image which is masked, the mask will move with the image and this just defeats the entire purpose of a mask.. Anyone?  |

On the Layers palette you will see a chain symbol between the image icon and the mask icon. Click on the chain to remove it and the image and mask will move independently.
