					Perspective and shading
page 15 in 100% Photoshop, step 6, using command A to Select All only selects canvas not the ring. How do I make it select the ring? |

Hi Schumpert50, Cmd-A does indeed select the entire document boundary but will only affect the layer that you are working on. Try Cmd-clicking on the ring's layer thumbnail instead. This will make the 'marching ants' adhere to the layer's subject's boundary. Hope this helps. Gordon _________________ Why is there only one word for ‘Thesaurus’? |

You're right, Select All does select the entire document. Once you start nudging or dragging, however, it's only those pixels present on that layer that will move. The selection will automatically snap to the shape of the ring. |
