CS3 on Windows 7, Vanishing Point - Crash
I've been absent from the Friday Challenge recently because I got a new laptop and have been busy setting it up and getting used to Windows 7. I have a problem with Photoshop CS3. When using the vanishing point filter and paste into and attempt to transform, Photoshop crashes and quits. Can anyone suggest a solution? _________________ Lonnie |

Hi Lonnie I had the same issue where the screen went white and CS3 crashed. Google came to the rescue and I found a forum where someone explained that the Aero theme in W7 is to blame. I set up a non Aero theme background and reopened vanishing point filter and it worked without any issues. There must be a conflict of code somewhere. I hope this works for you. Nick |

Thanks, Nick. I too learned that Aero was the culprit. Changing to a Windows Basic theme solved the problem. Since Aero is only eye candy, it's no big loss IMHO. _________________ Lonnie |

Agree and if you save an Aero and non Aero theme, you can always switch from one to another easily, as and when you're using PS. Nick |
