Old photo restoration
I opened a PDF file of old photos into Photoshop, then selected the one i wanted to work on and to then change to a jpg. I dragged the selection onto a new canvas, resized, then did a further selection of the oval framed photo. I opened levels to darken it and this was fine until i selected OK, it then reverted to the original shading. I've tried a numbe of variations but cant get the image to retain the adjustments. Can you tell me why this is happening please? Elona. |

Hello Elona, I have been trying, without sucess to emulate your problem. Can you post a screen shot, showing the layers palette, and the image. |

Re: Old photo restoration
Thanks Deborah, but we've sorted it out by email. Turns out the scans were saved as BMP files - black dots, in other words, no greyscale, so impossible to adjust. |
