Oh dear! Sorry for the size. I'm new here.

By the way, you've seen my original.
Then I played around with it and was happy with clicking a channel out as shown.

The problem is, I cannot save the picture in green, as I wanted it to be without that channel. Why? And how?

Hi. Ignore the color channels. What you want to do is go to the top toolbar and click IMAGE> Adjustments> Hue/saturation. Then just drag the Hue slider down to make your picture green.

There is a way to do it with channels. Select the Blue channel, and fill it with black. This will have the same effect as hiding it (and notice how the red text is completely unaffected):
