Flying Bride
Hello people,

First I would like to introduce myself. My name is Alessandro and I am a semi-pro photographer. I write from Italy so forgive my poor English. On the advice of Mr. Caplin I wanted to ask a question ...

In the attached photo montage you will find what i made for my cousin's wedding Album cover. First I wanted to tell you that I notice the difference in definition with the image that I shooted and the background found on the internet. Then I do not understand how to better integrate the groom and the bride with the background in terms of light and color, etc. . This is the first time I find a difficulty like this. I had to make many changes with different layers and textures to achieve a pleasing result. In the picture I sent you there are both the original and the finished layer. Thanks to all those who have the patience to help me.

Greetings from Rome and thanks for the great work and help you give!

Hi Shinobisan,

Steve's website isn't ment to be used for uploading big images, but you can upload a link to an image you have placed on e.g. Photobucket.

Succes!

Re: Flying Bride
Shinobisan,

You need to make it easier for people to download your images! That site you use means waiting 60 seconds, and then another 9 minutes while the file downloads.

If you're just posting a single flat image, then use Photoshop's Save for Web feature (File menu). Here's the image again, reduced to under 100K.

I really like this piece of work, it has a lot of character to it. The tones of the bride and groom work well.

A couple of things you should look at:

1. The blur on the woman is too fuzzy, I think, and doesn't really suggest movement. I'd take that off - after all, even if she is moving, she can't be moving so fast for a 1/60th second exposure to capture her crisply.

2. The shadow of the man is unreal. It's too crisp, too long, and much too big. Nothing else in the image is casting a shadow anything like this, so it looks out of place.

3. If you're after realism, then you need to watch the scale. The people are much too big for that setting. They would never fit through that door!

Otherwise this is good - I like the scratching effect.

Welcome to the forum

Steve

Re: Flying Bride
Sorry for the wrong upload.
I'm glad you like it! Now I get back to work and try to fix the errors.

I will change the effect of the bride and make her static. Secondly, I will have to scale the background and reduce the opacity and size of the shadow of the groom. Finally I add a shadow to the fountain! Thank you for the valuable advice! you are great!
I am very happy to be part of this community))
