QuickMask
Just bought the book and trying to use QuickMask on page12. I have changed QM so that Selected Areas should be red, but when I choose this tool, the icon for the tool I was previously using does not toggle off. I assume it should. In any case, I can't get the red mask to show up. I've read other queries about QuickMask in this forum and have tried the suggested solutions (such as painting with black), but to no avail. I am using CS6 Extended. Can you help? |

Hello Byrd Am a bit new here but I try to help out as much as I can , with my limited knowledge and abilities , that is 
After reding both your posted concern (#1) "Icon of previous tool .... " I had to toggle it manually , (click on preferred tool) , most likely the brush tool . As to concern #2 "can't get the red mask to show up ...." did you try to check the setting of the brush ? Mode ? ... It should be on Normal ... I also had to set foreground/background colour manually as well , the little colour icon next to the crooked arrow . I am hoping I'm understanding your concern right , hence is my response (according to my understanding ) but however , please accept my apologies , had I been wrong with my assumption(s) . vahn |
