Transparent QuickMask
When I make a new layer from my mask, it is a transparent copy, not a solid copy. I am using the file sample and instructions from page 8 & 9 of the book's Sixth Edition. |

There are two possible reasons for this. You could be painting in a dark grey, rather than black (press D to set the default foreground colour). Or you could be painting at less than 100% opacity. Press 0 when the brush tool is active to set it to 100%. Does this help? |
