QuickMask 3: Transformation P12 6th edition
I've had this book a while and have used other chapters, but now that I am laid-off and have the time, I thought I'd run through all the chapters. I just started yesterday. I can make the circular marquee just fine but then when I go to quick mask, every thing else gets masked and the circle stays white. I tried inverting the selection before entering quick mask, but then when I go to Free Transform mode the rest of the image is in the selection and not the circle. Did I miss a step? Thanks in advance, Sara |

Hi Sara I don't have the 6th edition, but try following the image I've attached. Steve suggested this in the book I have and it's a much simpler way of working. Also check that the entire layer is not selected. This would be achieved by CTRL A, so before making the marquee selection select CTRL D to make sure everything is deselected. Hope this helps.
