Cursor issues
I was working in a composition picture, I have like 5 pictures in the composition, out of the sudden I cannot pick each picture separate, now I have to go to the layer panel to select the picture I want to work with, and I also have another problem, when I select the layer that I want to work with, it changes to the first layer only and does not allows me to work with the layer beneath it. what am I doing wrong? note: auto select is checked. Thank you so much _________________ Why not! |

Re: Cursor issues
Auto select can be set to "Layer" or "Group" - could you have it set to "Group" by accident? In this setting, you'll be able to click and select groups of layers, but not individual layers. If you want to work with multiple layers, select one and then hold Shift to select another layer as well. |

Re: Cursor issues
Thank you Steve. Before I was able to select the layer directly by clicking it on the picture, not anymore, now in order to select the layer, I have to go to the layer panel. It is set to layers. I must have change something.... _________________ Why not! |

Re: Cursor issues
Can you post a screenshot showing your Layers panel and the Options bar? |

Re: Cursor issues
Is it possible the uppermost layer has been stamped visible or covers the whole frame? In windows I can mouse over and hold CTRL and right click to select the layer I want to work on if this is the case. |

Re: Cursor issues
Do you have a layer that is filled with 50% grey that is set to Overlay or Soft or Hard Light at the top of the layer stack? You might use this for non-destructive shading. This would make the layer invisible but, if you have 'Auto Select' selected, then that layer would be selected when you click on the image. This would also happen if you have a sharpening layer using High Pass and Soft or Hard Light blending mode. A screen shot would be very helpful. _________________ You're never too old to learn something stupid. |
